One For The Murphy's review by: Lynda Mullaly Hunt

Oh my goodness, I love this book, it got me through some hard times, because I realize this girl did not have the good life I have, at all. I got mad when my nice tablet broke, but this girl, Carley Conners, because her step dad Dennis beat her mom. I realize I have it great!

Carley Conners grew up in Las Vegas with her amazing mom. But when her mom marries her step dad Dennis, she figured out he beat her mom so she taunted him and he got mad, so mad that he almost killed Carley when beating her and her. Carley is immediately pulled away from everything she knows and put into foster care, into the family with the last name of Murphy. Carley thinks she is just in the Murphys home to make them look more caring and nice. But over time she realizes this is what a family is like, and what it feels like to be more noticed, and more loved. As Carley's mom goes through a therapy to both regain her strength to walk and how to take care of her daughter properly, Carley wonders if her mom really cares for her, whereas her mom loves her more than anything, and held on to Carley when Dennis was beating her to get up and call the police to arrest Dennis, and hurting Carley was the worst thing she had ever done in her life and wished she could take back that night more than anything!
This book shows me the strength that some of these foster kids go through every day when thinking about their old life. My two foster siblings must go through so much depression than I even know about! Every day they are SO strong, and I am just sitting here typing away on my parents computer! So today I encourage you to try foster care, take classes, take care of them, they need you do much more than you think, and need soooo much love!

Siblings

Siblings can be hard at some times, but they love you anyway!I have 5 siblings of my own they are really hard to keep up with. I have 2 foster siblings, and 4 biological siblings, and I have to babysit them tomorrow night.  Stupid date night!
So here is some advice on what to do with siblings:

-Make them help you with the cleaning, why not? and whoever cleans the most, pay them! I always give the winning cleaner 2 dollars. Then the others some little prize, because who wants whiners?

-give the younger siblings a bath if they need it, or if you just need to keep track of them and the tub is an easy place to keep an eye on them. ;)

-Find a card or board game that everyone can enjoy, they will love it!

-wash the dog

-make up a play with them

-play pretend

-build a fort

-help them with homework, lessons, or instruments

-do a crafts with them!

If you have any other things to do with crazy siblings just comment below I could use some advice myself!

Wet Her Hair

This morning I realized that I had not taken a shower last night. So I decided to wash my hair as quick as I could before it was time to go to school. When I thought my mom was calling me to get in the car I speedily dried my hair out. Then I went to put my shoes on my mom came up to me and inquired why my hair was so wet. When I told her I had washed my hair she asked, "Would you like it if I put mousse in your hair?"
When I said yes she got the mousse and put it in my hair. (My hair is originally curly.)

4 hours later...
Now today our school got out early because the teachers had a faculty meeting. When my siblings and I were called down to be taken home. My principle saw that my brother and I were related he said, "Now why is your hair curly and his isn't ?"
My brother interrupted, "She wet her hair!"
I replied, " I--
"Wet her hair!"
I put my hand over his mouth and said, " I wet my hair then put mousse in it to make it curlier. He gets his hair from my mom."
Then I took my hand off my brother`s mouth and he whispered to my principle, " She wet her hair ."
"Oh is that right?"
Well another that's another laugh! :)

While I was on Christmas I decided to be baptized. I sure was exicited when the day came for me to be baptized I was scared enough to pee! After the services, sermons or whatever you would like to say.

Then my dad and I went to the changing rooms. While I was changing into the suit they got for me (it was a sorta like a swim suit) I happily cried. I was so happy that I was making this promise!

First Post

I love books. One day I want to write one. Maybe a book about me! If I do, I hope all you viewers like it once you see it.

My favorite book of all is John. It tells the story of Jesus. I hope with all my heart you viewers out there will tell the story, too. It makes me so sad to think of all those people going the wrong place. Too sad! God gave us a wonderful gift:: to be here looking at our computers, maybe in our favorite seats, while other people are living in pain. Unlike us. We live in paradise with food, roofs over our heads, furniture, money, and families.

My dream is to teach the wonderful story of God and Jesus. A week or so ago I was given a blessing. Want me to tell you what it is???? This man just loves my smile! He said,''To you , I give you a blessing by the name of the Lord: let everyone love you, and know you for your wonderful smile!''

I love that man. He makes me SMILE. He reminds me of God. Viewers, TELL others of THE LORD'S NAME. Please!
